The call is answered by a trained E-911 Dispatcher. The Dispatcher determines the type of service needed using a proven and efficient interview process and immediately contacts the appropriate agency to dispatch assistance. If deemed beneficial, the dispatcher may connect the caller directly to the emergency service personnel while awaiting the arrival of emergency field personnel.

The E-911 dispatcher asks a string of necessary questions. These questions not only identify the services needed but prepare the responding services for what to expect and prepare for before their arrival.
