Community Assistance Response System The Community Assistance Response System (CARS) project has everyone here excited about what this brings to our parish. At this writing, CARS is only days away from becoming a reality. We’ve finished the installation phase and have moved into the testing phase. We are presently awaiting the final review on the wording of the application. As soon as we get the go-ahead, we will make the applications available to the public. CARS provides a daily call/visit to the citizens in our parish that live alone and wish to be “checked on” regularly. Whether it’s just a temporary situation or a long-term illness, this can provide you or a loved one with the security of knowing that someone is available, if needed. In Webster Parish, we care about our neighbor. And thanks to the Police Jury, Sheriff’s Office, E-911 and citizens of Webster Parish, we now have a means to efficiently help those that need help.
